How to Choose your AmeriVacS Sealer

You’re in the market for a Vacuum Sealer but where to begin in finding the best one for your product?

Hi there, I’m Peter & I started this joint/place/company a long time ago. And, hi I’m Audrey. We want to walk you through the three things you need to consider when choosing a vacuum sealer.*

In this video, we’ll cover your Sealer Type, which will be determined by your product requirements. Sealer Size, which is determined by the largest bag you wish to seal. And Configuration, which will cover the accessories & upgrades available to further customize your vacuum sealer.

AmeriVacS sealers come in three different types: Impulse sealers, which are great for sealing-only applications. Vacuum sealers, which remove air and airborne contaminants before sealing your package. Vacuum sealers with gas purge which, in addition to removing air and airborne contaminants, modify the atmosphere inside your package by flushing it with an inert gas.

Sealer Type

AmeriVacS sealers come in three different types: Impulse sealers, which are great for sealing-only applications. Vacuum sealers, which remove air and airborne contaminants before sealing your package. Vacuum sealers with gas purge which, in addition to removing air and airborne contaminants, modify the atmosphere inside your package by flushing it with an inert gas.

A couple of side notes. Our standard vacuum sealers are built on a venturi compressed-air driven vacuum pump system, that requires well… compressed air. If however, you’d prefer not to operate your AmeriVacS sealer with external compressed air, then we offer our plug-and-play c-series, with built-in air compressors.

If you have large quantities of liquids or fine powders in your products, a chamber vacuum sealer would be appropriate. Chamber sealers such as this bad boy come with and without gas purge capabilities.

Sealer Size

AmeriVacS Vacuum Sealers can seal bags up to 50 inches in width. The model number denotes the widest bag they can seal, so if you’re sealing a bag 20” wide or smaller, any machine with a dash 20 in the model number will suffice. The same is true as you increase bag size. If you’re sealing a bag 25” wide or smaller, any model with a dash 25 will suffice, and so on.

Accessories & Upgrades

Once set with the knowledge of your product’s size and type, you can tailor it further by configuring it with various accessories and upgrades. Our three most common upgrades are our vacuum filter upgrade, which protects your vacuum pump from small debris that can be sucked out of the bag during the process.

Our vacuum regulator upgrade limits the vacuum pressure exerted on the package. This is great for products that are delicate or have sharp corners. If speed is a requirement in your packaging program, then we’d recommend a dual nozzle upgrade. This will significantly decrease cycle times, especially on large bags. Want to learn more about upgrades and accessories… feel free to give us a call, download our accessory guide, or submit a configuration request via the form below and a customer success agent will reach out to you.
